Lab Manager and Senior Fossil Preparator

Bob Masek has been a professional fossil preparator for 16 years. He has been working for Dr. Sereno for the past 6 years and is now also lab manager. Previous to his work with Dr. Sereno, Bob prepared fossils for other highly respected paleontologists. Fossils that he has prepared range in size and complexity from small lizard skulls to dinosaurs.

Bob is a member of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology and has presented talks at the preparators symposium. He has participated in fieldwork in North America and China.

During summer weekends Bob can be found wandering the strip mine spoil heaps of the famous Mazon Creek area.
